>> On-Campus Interviews
On-campus interviews are an excellent way to make contact with employers. These interviews are conducted throughout the Fall and Spring semesters and are only available to students who have registered with USA Career Services.
Employers use the preselect, or pre-screening, method most often. The employer reviews resumes of interested candidates who have requested an interview. From these, the employer selects candidates to interview.
Use the Career Services System
to request inclusion of your resume in the group sent by Career Services to the employer. This must be done by three weeks
before the interview date. The employer will review these resumes, and select candidates to interview. If you are selected, you must sign up for an interview time
, beginning one week before the interview date.
check the Career Services System
after 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday one week
before the employer's scheduled visit to determine:
Some employers use the open sign-up procedure.
- if the employer selected you and
- if selected, you select a time to interview.
With an Open Sign-up schedule, candidates select interview times on a first-come, first-choice basis. Openings in a schedule will be filled by the first candidates to sign-up using the Career Services System login after 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday three weeks before the interview date.
Interview requests may be made until 12:00 p.m., two days prior to the interview date or until the schedule has been filled. Candidates should check the schedules until the last minute in case there are cancellations or the employer adds interview sessions.
