Co-Op / Internships
Cooperative Education allows USA students to integrate periods of classroom study with paid positions related to the discipline they are studying. While salaries vary between individual positions, the positions are a valuable experience for the student in their academic major.
The USA Engineering Cooperative Education Program provides an opportunity for students to integrate periods of classroom study with paid positions related to their major. Students experience work in a "real world" setting and are able to gain valuable work experience through the program.
Internships are similar to co-ops, but can be paid or unpaid. In some cases, academic credit is awarded through the academic department.
The sections below are designed to give additional information about both cooperative education programs and the internship program.
