The primary administrative functions of the College are shared by the Office of the Dean, Academic Departments, and the Program Faculty. The Dean’s Office is comprised of several offices, including those of the Associate Dean for Academic and Fiscal Affairs, the Associate Dean for Professional Development and External Affairs, the Director of Graduate Studies and Research, and the Director of Assessment and Evaluation. The College has 57 full-time faculty members who are organized into three separate departments: Health, Physical Education, and Leisure Studies; Professional Studies; and, Leadership and Teacher Education. Each department sponsors several academic programs with which different faculty members are affiliated.
In addition to an organizational structure comprised of administrative offices, departments and associated programs, faculty within specific departments are also affiliated with cross-disciplinary teams that target emerging issues that have been identified as having the potential for significant impact upon the College. These Initiatives cover a broad range of critical issues and are developing some of the most innovative programs in the College today.Open the original version of this page.
