The College has a strong relationship with personnel in partnership schools throughout the region. For example, more than 85 percent of the professionals employed by the Mobile and Baldwin County schools hold at least one degree from the University of South Alabama. It is safe to say that virtually every public school child on the Alabama Gulf Coast has benefited by the high quality of instruction provided to the graduates of our programs.  

This collaboration enables faculty to plan and implement learning experiences for new teachers, provide professional development for experienced educators, and engage in research on teaching and learning. In the College of Education, we want to continue to provide high quality teachers for the children along the Gulf Coast. With your help, more individuals desiring a career in education can pursue their dreams and make an impact on the generations to come.

With private gift support, the College of Education can increase the amount of support available to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level students preparing for careers in education. Charitable gift endowments can enrich programs at the College by providing ongoing support for guest lecturers and visiting professors, rewarding and retaining exceptional faculty members, and attracting applicants of the highest quality to enroll in our programs. By ensuring the quality of programs at the College and making them accessible to the best students regardless of their financial status, private gifts can ensure that a diverse and talented teacher workforce is available to prepare Gulf Coast children to lead productive lives in a rapidly changing, increasingly diverse, and technologically sophisticated global society.
