GPA used is that computed by the USA Office of Admissions on six semesters
Students who receive the Presidential Scholarships must maintain a required GPA for the scholarship to be renewed.

BAY AREA FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
FOR 2008 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

$1,500 for the Freshman Year
December 1 of the Senior Year
Presidential Scholarships will be awarded starting on December 1 for freshmen students entering the University the following fall semester. The awards are made on a first-come basis to the most qualified applicants who have completed files. Funds are depleted early, so applicants are urged to apply early.
To be considered for scholarships, students must:
Apply for admission to the University of South Alabama,
Submit a USA scholarship application,
Request official ACT or SAT scores be mailed to the USA Office of Admissions,
Request an official high school transcript be mailed to the the Office of Admissions (transcript must show grades through the junior year and be mailed directly from the school), and
Complete the above procedures by December 1 for first consideration. Funds are depleted early.
