Dr. James Bridgeforth has served as the Associate Director for Housing & Residence Life at the University of South Alabama since January 2010. Previously, he has worked at some of the most reputable housing and residence life programs in the country such as The University of Massachusetts-Amherst, George Mason University, and The Catholic University of America. He has nearly 15 years of experience in higher education and remains passionate about students and their development. Currently serving as the Chair-elect for the ACUHO-I Housing & Facilities Services Committee, Dr. Bridgeforth received the USA Team Outstanding Employee Service Award in the Student Affairs Division in 2010 and is an honorary member of the National Residence Hall Honorary.

Mike Havard is a University of South Alabama alumni (December 1987) who joined the USA Housing & Residence Life team in December 1996. He received the 2009 USA Team Outstanding Employee Service Award in the Student Affairs Division and become an Honorary Member of the National Residence Hall Honorary in April 2004.

Sharon Davis came to the University of South Alabama main campus from USA Knollwood Hospital in February 1999 and has been a part of USA Housing & Residence Life since August 2000. Sharon become an Honorary Member of the National Residence Hall Honorary in March 2006.

Favorite Spot on Campus: Driving by the pond area located on Aubrey Green Drive, especially in the mornings when the water lilies are in bloom.

In addition to her current role, Lauren served as the Southeast Area Coordinator from 2009-11 and has enjoyed her opportunities to serve in the RA & CD selection process.

Robbie Durr joined the University of South Alabama staff in August 2011 and serves as the Southeast Area Coordinator (overseeing Epsilon, Beta-Gamma, and Fraternity & Sorority Communities) with Housing & Residence Life. Originally from Mississippi, Robbie moved to Mobile to pursue a career in Higher Education. Since she began with USA, Robbie has been heavily involved with building stronger partnerships between Housing and campus/community partners, the selection, professional development, and training for graduate and paraprofessional housing staff, Violence and Sexual Assault Rape Prevention Programming (Girl's Night Out), and she also serves on the OktSOBERfest committee for the University in partnership with Counseling Services. Her University awards include: Housing's Professional Staff Member of the Year for the 2012-2013 academic year and the Division of Student Affairs â€┼ôRising Star” Award for 2013.

Favorite Spot on Campus: Though not known for being the most beautiful or glamorous spot on campus, I would have to say the Fresh Food Company is my favorite location. It is the central hub for our Housing Community and provides a great space for programming, dining, and fellowship between campus staff and residents.

Amber L. Jones joined the University of South Alabama staff in June 2010. She currently serves as the Area Coordinator for the Northwest Residential Area (overseeing Stokes Hall, New Hall, and Delta Communities) with Housing & Residence Life. Originally from Pass Christian, Mississippi, Amber moved to Mobile as an undergraduate to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice in 2009. She continued on to obtain her Master of Public Administration in 2012. Since she began with USA, Amber has been heavily involved with Summer Housing, Desk Assistant selection and training, advisor to the USA Residence Hall Association, and Violence and Sexual Assault Rape Prevention Programming (Girl's Night Out).

Originally from North Carolina, Elliott moved to Mobile to pursue a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration. Since he began with USA, Elliott has been heavily involved with Conference Housing, Greek Life, PanHellenic Sorority Recruitment, the inaugural Student Organization Leadership Day (SOLD), Sexual Assault, Violence and Rape Prevention (The Bro Code), and he also served as the U-Revolution Facilitator Summer 2013.

Originally from Brewton, Alabama, Rachel moved to Mobile to pursue a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration. Since she began with USA, Rachel has been heavily involved with the USA Residence Hall Association, Jaguar Productions, Sexual Assault, Violence and Rape Prevention (Girls Night Out & The Bro Code) and she also served as co-chair for the Resident Assistant recruitment and selection committee. Rachel was recently honored to have her presentation at ALAHO 2013 named the Best In State.

Madeleine Whitmire joined the University of South Alabama staff in June 2013 and serves as the Community Director for the Stokes Hall Community with Housing & Residence Life. Originally from New Orleans, LA, Madeleine moved to Mobile to pursue a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration. Since she began with USA, Madeleine has worked with RAs to develop programs for the Stokes Hall residents to help promote a community centered around its students.

Favorite Spot on Campus: In front of Stokes Hall before it rains. You can see the trees start moving in the wind and you can smell the rain on the air. It's especially nice when the weather is a little cooler and not sweltering hot and you can stand there briefly and just relax.
