International Travel Procedures
Activities that take place outside the continental United States are considered international for the purposes of USA sponsored student travel and must be reviewed by the USA Office of International Education.  
The Travel Services Office of the University of South Alabama is located in the Business Office, AD 380. Its purpose is to provide guidance to travelers and approvers of travel forms concerning the University's policies and procedures for the reimbursement of travel and related expenses.

If you are a student traveling for Study Abroad, you must have comprehensive health insurance. This link will take you to the Office of International Education’s 24/7 Contact page which provides you with important information and contacts.

Money Matters
Financial Aid Office  
As you explore this link, you will discover the various types of student financial assistance available, the application procedures, eligibility requirements and the application deadlines.  
Ways to help pay for Study Abroad  
Financial aid, scholarships, grants, VA benefits, PACT program, ROTC, “ Fill the Gap” program, etc. are applicable to program costs except in limited instances. Please visit the Study Abroad site and schedule an appointment with the Study Abroad Coordinator for more information and guidance.

*An advance tuition and living expenses deposit may be required of a student before an I-20 or DS-2019 is issued. This decision is based upon exchange regulations and fee receipt history of specific countries.
