Bankhead Tunnel  

Bankhead Tunnel
A series of images showing construction of Mobile's Bankhead Tunnel. All of the photographs were taken during construction by a member of the firm that designed the tunnel.

The Drago Band  

The Drago Band
Organized around 1883, the Drago Band was an extremely popular musical group in Mobile. They played nearly every night of the week for one event or another. In this exhibit, we get a glimpse of the band through images, journal entries, and ephemera.

Civil Rights Movement in Mobile

A broad overview, through images, of the modern Civil Rights Movement in Mobile, Alabama. Unless otherwise noted, all images are from the John L. LeFlore Papers.

Gaylord Lee Clark Photographs

Photographs depicting various scenes around the Hunter Plantation near Selma, Alabama, as well as images of Montgomery, Alabama, and Mobile, Alabama. All of the images date from the mid- to late-nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
