A common core of courses are offered online including concepts, theory, research, and issues related to advanced nursing practice. Clinical requirements can usually be completed with preceptors in the students’ home community. Students may be required to return to campus at the end of fall, spring, and summer semesters for a final exam and orientation to the next semester.
For all students enrolled in CMN 569 in the fall of 2013, FNP clinical orientation will be online, in August 2013. You will receive an email regarding this clinical orientation by July 2013. You will have several days to access the orientation content before the fall semester begins. An on-campus intensive session of classes and skills labs will be held in Fairhope, AL on November 5, 6, and 7, 2013 and is required for all students enrolled in CMN 569. Information related to Fairhope area discounted hotel rates will be sent to you in advance of the November on-campus meetings.
