The Post Master’s DNP track is designed for nurses who hold a Master’s degree in Nursing and are prepared for advanced practice:

Nurse Practitioner
Executive Nursing Administration
Clinical Nurse Specialist
Public Health Nursing Administration

Requirements For Admission

The requirements for admission to the DNP program are located on the DNP Home Page and in the University of South Alabama Undergraduate/Graduate Bulletin.

Curriculum
Courses in the curriculum are as follows:

• NU 604 Project Planning and Development - 3 cr
• NU 607 Critical Analysis of the Scientific Underpinnings of Advanced Nursing Practice - 3 cr
• NU 608 Evidence Based Practice & Quality Improvement in Health Care - 3 cr
• NU 610 Strategic Resource Management in Health Care - 3 cr
• NU 611 Translational Evidence into Health Care Systems - 3 cr
• NU 612 Clinical Prevention and Population Health - 3cr
• NU 613 Organizational and Systems Leadership - 3cr
• NU 615 Program Evaluation and Improvement of Clinical Outcomes - 3 cr
• NU 616 Data Management & Decision Making in Complex Health Care Systems - 3 cr
• NU 617 Residency I - 1cr
• NU 618 Residency II - 4 cr
• NU 619 Residency III - 4 cr
Total hours = 36 credits
