Architects and contractors maintain and preserve the look of the University of Florida’s architectural styles with the help of more 60,000 drawings for hundreds of buildings, including some of the campus’s first buildings.

At the architecture engineering department in the Physical Plant Division, Chuck Hogan and Troy Miles keep track of the drawings. Some go back about 100 years and were done by hand on linen. The drawings resemble works of art and serve as historical references for students, contractors and architects.
