Summer and Fall 2017 Textbook Adoptions

Published: February 27th, 2017

Category: Memos

Joseph Glover, Provost and Senior Vice President

The textbook adoption system for Summer and Fall 2017 is now available to faculty and departments to submit their Summer and Fall 2017 textbook adoptions and materials requirements. Please visit http://www.textadoption.ufl.edu/ to enter Summer and Fall 2017 adoptions.

The deadline for Summer and Fall 2017 adoptions is March 27, 2017. This date coincides with the beginning of advance registration and when students can view their course textbook and materials requirements. This information is also available online to all bookstores to help them ensure appropriate arrival of texts and better prices for student book buybacks.

Knowledge of course textbook and materials requirements helps students balance their course loads based on reading demands and financial needs – including the purchasing of books.

Timely entry of this information also provides students their best opportunity to sell books back at higher prices. Bookstores typically will not offer to buy back texts unless the text is listed as being used the next semester.

Timely posting of textbook adoptions has the strong support of the student body, and it is a law in Florida Statutes. UF students continue to endorse the availability of textbook information online and have indicated it aids in course selection.

For compliance-monitoring purposes, the final deadline date to submit text adoptions is March 24, 2017 for Summer courses and July 7, 2017 for Fall courses.

If you have any questions about the textbook adoption submission process, please contact the textbook adoption website administrator at (352) 294-3355 or email
TextAdoption-WebHelp@bsd.ufl.edu.

What is this view?

You are using a dynamic assistive view of the University of Florida site. It has all the same data and features of the original site but formatted just with assistive users in mind. It has links and content reorganized to aid assistive users and has controls at the bottom under assistive options that allow you to control key aspects such as font size and contrast colors etc.
This is not a separate text-only site, it's a dynamic view that uses unique technology from Usablenet to give assistive users better, more accessible access to the same content and features as all users that use the graphic view of the site.
