Pharmaceutical Sciences Online Degree Program

The University of Florida’s online pharmaceutical sciences graduate program offers an online master’s degree and graduate certificate with a concentration in pharmaceutical chemistry.

This program accepts students year-round, and students can choose between a master’s degree or start with a graduate certificate. UF’s online pharmaceutical sciences graduate program is ideal for students who currently work in a research facility, laboratory, government organization, or pharmaceutical company.

Master’s Degree

UF’s online master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences with a concentration in pharmaceutical chemistry is a 32-credit degree program that covers the foundations of pharmaceutical chemistry, as well as current industry trends. Interactive courses, online modules, and flexible scheduling make this an ideal degree program for working professionals.

Students can earn their master's degree in as little as two years. This degree is beneficial for professionals pursuing careers in pharmacy, drug development, biotechnology, pharmacology, research, and more.

Focus Areas

Students can customize their course of study based on their current or future position and which courses best fit their work environment. The focus areas are suggested course schedules for professionals interested in advancing their knowledge tailored to their interests and work demands.

Graduate Certificate

The University of Florida’s graduate certificate in pharmaceutical chemistry is a 15-credit program that can be completed in as little as one year. This entirely online program consists of six courses that delve into the practical application of pharmaceutical chemistry.

Online courses give students the flexibility to continue working full-time while gaining credentials for their future. With a graduate degree, students become more qualified, boost career opportunities, and stay up-to-date on the latest pharmaceutical chemistry trends.

Up to 15 credits may be transferred toward the master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences with a concentration in pharmaceutical chemistry, if the student is formally admitted to the master’s degree and earns “B” grades or higher in each course.

How much does it cost?

All students enrolled in the University of Florida’s online pharmaceutical sciences graduate program pay the same tuition, regardless of location.

Minimum credits required for financial aid eligibility:

  • Fall and Spring semesters: 5 credits
  • Summer semester: 4 credits

UF’s online pharmaceutical sciences graduate program does not accept the UF EEP or Florida State Tuition Waiver because it does not receive funds from these programs.

*Graduate certificate and non-degree seeking students must pay capital improvement and technology fees. Master’s degree students must pay capital improvement, technology, and financial aid fees.
