In the spotlight: Cotter

Intellectual Property Program Director/Professor Thomas Cotter’s article, “Rethinking Patent Damages” was published in the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal (coauthored with Roger Blair). He also was quoted in the National Law Journal on U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s interest in copyright cases. Cotter also presented a paper, “Strict Liability and Its Alternatives in Patent Law,” at the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology’s Patent Reform Conference (which billed itself as including presentations by “nine of the brightest patent scholars in the country”). The paper will be published in the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.
