Lehman Study Abroad Programs
Description: This course introduces students to the history as well as the socio-cultural dynamics of the Dominican Republic. Students will visit different regions of the island, historical sites and attend live events to grasp the vast culture. The program will include site visits to the cities of Dajabón, San Pedro de Macoris, San Francisco de Macoris, San Cristobal, and the Colonial City in Santo Domingo.Location: Santo Domingo and various cities and provinces in the Dominican Republic

* Students are required to have at least a 2.7 GPA and a working knowledge of Spanish
Housing accomodation, orientation, excursions and site visits, 2-day stay in Dajabón, airport pick-up and drop-off, and 3 meals

These expenses are made payable to the office of Study Abroad at Lehman College, usually in three installments, and before the start of the program. Payment deadlines will be announced soon after acceptance into the program.
Informed by expected arrival and departure dates, students will purchase their own flights, which they often do after attending their first program orientation along with other program participants.

Once winter registration begins, students are expected to register and pay for their courses.
