Mansfield University Home Page > North Hall Library Home Page > Articles & Databases

If you’re looking for articles in journals or newspapers, you can find the information a few different ways.

If you know the name of the journal, the quickest way is to click on journals. That will allow you to type in the title or browse to it and find out what database it’s in or whether it’s available in print in the library.

Don’t know the journal title? Try searching the databases. Use the general list first, or scroll to the specific database you think might contain the information you need.

You can search for newspaper articles online, too. The library subscribes to the New York Times and to LexisNexis, which allows you to search other national and regional newspapers as well as newspapers from around the world. Recent print versions of newspapers are in the popular reading section on the second floor, and copies up to a month old are on the third floor.

Can’t find it here? Use interlibrary loan, but allow yourself enough time to complete your research. Give yourself two weeks to request and obtain the article.
