The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and the Birmingham Public Library hosted a special event to debut a new, free service that will make vendor applications and notices of contracts more accessible to disadvantaged small business owners who do not have access to computers.

The program's benefits touch entrepreneurs throughout Alabama. By increasing opportunities for minority and women-owned suppliers, UAB boosts business development throughout the city and state. As the university's supplier base expands, the economy expands and the community grows.
