Financial occupations will grow at about a 13-20% average over the next decade.
Mansfield University offers entry level courses in Personal Finance and Introductory courses in Finance for non-business majors with an interest in finance. Upper division courses in Managerial Finance, Corporate Finance, and International Finance are offered for business majors and non-majors interested in developing the depth and analytical problem solving skills necessary for higher paying jobs.
Mansfield University recognizes the importance’s of the small business in the U.S. economy. Finance courses offered develop a variety of financial skills necessary to prepare individuals for management of a small business.
Finance has three main career paths: Financial management, Investment, and Financial Markets and Institutions. Position exits for financial analysis in the management of small firms or entry level accounting and financial analysis in larger firms and government agency. Financial analysis and planning salaries range from the low $40,000 to high $100,000 plus with the median of $60,000. Stock brokers and investment advisors, also, bank loan administrators as-well as Personal Financial Advisors will see excellent growth over the next decade. Financial Institutions need individual with back grounds in finance for tax planning, public policy issues on interest rates and the flow of funds in the economy.
