Phi Alpha Theta is the National History Honor Society. The organization was formed in 1921, and the Alpha-Iota-Beta Chapter at Mansfield University was installed in April 1999. Invitations are mailed to eligible students in both the fall and spring semesters. Induction ceremonies are held every semester. Members are encouraged to participate in regional meetings. Please contact Dr. Karen Guenther, faculty advisor, for further information.
REQUIREMENTS for MEMBERSHIP:
► 4 History courses
► Minimum 3.0 overall QPA
► Minimum 3.25 QPA in all history courses

M.U. BOOKSTORE SCHOLARSHIPS
The Alpha-Iota Beta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society awards scholarships to the M.U. Bookstore every fall and spring semester.
The Criteria for the awards are as follows:
Award recipients are selected by faculty members in the History & Political Science Department who are members of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society.
