Margaret passed away this morning (November 15, 2010) after a long, courageous and valiant battle with cancer. Dr. Launius served as Full Professor of Psychology for twenty-one years. Margaret Launius was the epitome of every value we hold dear in Higher Education. She was a superb teacher, scholar, mentor, advisor to students, and a treasured colleague to us all. She was always a positive, vocal, articulate and passionate voice in our campus community. She challenged students to achieve their positive best and she taught and lead by the example of her life. Our sympathy is shared with her husband, Bruce, her daughter and family, and the uncountable numbers of those who have been touched by her passion for education and for life.
