The following is a list of discounts available to Kent State University faculty and staff employees.

Travel Discounts

Enterprise Car Rental
KSU Employees may receive a discount on personal rentals from Enterprise.  Vehicles rented in the State of Ohio receive a larger discount than rentals obtained outside of Ohio.  Rentals outside of the State of Ohio are discounted a percentage off of the retail rate and the percentage may vary from state to state.  Vehicles rented from an airport location are generally higher than rentals in a non-airport location.  Reservations can be made at www.enterprise.com, toll free at 1-800-rent-a-car or you can contact the local Kent Enterprise office at (330) 677-4447.  To receive the KSU employee discount you will need to reference customer code 39A2643 when making your reservation.  To make a reservation on-line, use KEN as the 3 digit company name or PIN number.  Rentals for personal use must be in the employee's name.

Airport Fast Park
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport parking at a discounted price for KSU employees. Click on the Airport Fast Park link to view rates, enroll and to see other amenities offered. Just use your Frequent Parker Card when entering and exiting. (Enrollment required)

Park Place Airport Parking
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport parking at a discounted price for KSU employees. Click on the Park Place Airport Parking link to view rates, enroll and to see other amenities offered. Just use your Frequent Parker Card when entering and exiting. (Enrollment required)

Personal Travel Arrangements

• KSU Apple Store
  Kent State faculty, staff, students and parents of students are eligible to receive discounts on Apple Computer hardware and software products. Contact the KSU Apple Store at (330) 672-1595.  The Apple Store is located in the University Book Store in the Kent Campus Student Center.

Entertainment Discounts

• Kent State Athletics
  Kent State faculty and staff are eligible for athletic discounts on season tickets for football and men's and women's basketball. Employees can take advantage of this discount through the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and purchase season tickets through payroll deduction.   The Kent State University Bookstore located in the Kent State Student Centers offers KSU employees a 10% discount on text books and a 15% discount on clothing, trade books and soft goods. (NOTE: The employee discount does not apply to computer accessories, CD's, movies and health and beauty merchandise.)  Present your KSU ID card when checking out and request the KSU employee discount.

  The DuBois Bookstore located at 332 South Lincoln Street offers a 10% discount to KSU employees on general merchandise (excluding text books). Present your KSU ID card when checking out and request the KSU employee discount.
• Regional Campus Bookstores
  Ashtabula, E. Liverpool, Salem, Stark and Tuscarawas campus bookstores all offer a 10% discount on all books and all KSU merchandise to KSU employees with a valid KSU ID.

  Employees will be emailed a "Customer Appreciation" coupon postcard periodically throughout the calendar year offering a 12% discount on personal purchases made at Staples' retail stores. Print and present the coupon postcard at the time of purchase at your local Staples store.
• DeWeese Health Center
  You can purchase over the counter products from DeWeese Health Center at a reduced rate. Employees can also get their prescriptions filled at DeWeese Health Center using their Caremark prescription card. Easy and convenient. (NOTE: Not all prescriptions will be available.)   Firestone Complete Auto Care offers a 10% discount on tires and services to KSU employees.  Firestone is located in historic downtown Kent at 202 E.   Flynn's Tire & Auto Service, located at 1897 St. Rt. 59, Kent, OH offers a 5% discount on tires and a 10% discount (up to $25) on service. Call (330) 673-8473 to schedule your appointment and indicate you are a KSU employee (or student). Present your KSU ID at checkout to receive the discount.

  Several area hotels offer discounts to KSU employees with a KSU ID card. The Procurement website, http://www.kent.edu/procurement/area-hotel-rates.cfm will provide you with the hotel names, addresses, phone numbers and rates.

  Many discounts and benefits are available to any KSU alumnus who is a member of the KSU Alumni Association. Alumni Association members can save up to 40% on movie tickets and up to 38% on movie rentals nationwide, as well as discounts on Broadway theatre shows, theme parks, sporting events, family events, online shopping, gift certificates, seasonal ski tickets, and much more.   Kent State University Press offers a 20% discount on KSUP books to KSU faculty, staff, students and alumni.   Valvoline Instant Oil Change, located at 403 E. Main St., Kent, OH offers a 15% discount to university employees and students with a valid ID. Call (330) 677-0122 to schedule an appointment.
