Go for the Gold!
The UAlbany Data Center has received LEED Gold certification! Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) references the rating system for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of green buildings. Four levels of certification are available: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum. While the data center was minimally expected to meet the Silver standard, achieving LEED Gold is a significant accomplishment.

UAlbany Data Center Receives Tier III Certification
It's official! The University at Albany has been awarded Tier III Certification for both design and construction of our new Data Center. UAlbany is the only academic institution in the United States to receive this prestigious certification in these two categories. Read more.

Wiki and Listserv Upgrades
ITS is pleased to announce an upgrade to Wikis @ UAlbany.  The new version features notable improvements in functionality and appearance. vIC Service Suspended
Access to the virtual Information Commons (vIC) was suspended beginning on December 19, 2014. Changes in licensing may preclude ITS from continuing to offer this service. Information on the future availability of the vIC will be forthcoming.
