About Me

A graduate student at Northeastern University.  Received M.S. degrees in Telecommunication System Management (TSM) and Information Assurance (IA) from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts in 2009. Completed the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Research & Scientific interests

My scientific interest falls under the area of:

  1. Specific issues in the Telecommunication industry, such as Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN) specially the policy issues for the Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA). 

  2. Computer Security & Information Assurance. More specifically, employing different data mining techniques for intrusion detection purposes.

Also, interested in the different managerial aspects related to security policies, and applying them on various scales. From small businesses computer systems protection plans, to critical infrastructure protection plans related to protecting the telecommunication infrastructures for countries. ( see sample projects)  

I am currently working in the area of systems security and my current focus is on building an Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
