Well, this is not only my first attempt at a serious website that will be both useful and fun but it is also my first attempt at using Dreamweaver. Hopefully as time goes on, as I improve and update, and as I become a better person my site will become more interesting as well.Today's rant, I fear, must be about portal. There is just no other choice.
Portal is one of the best games I have played in years. It is essentially a series of test rooms where you slowly gain the use of a gun that creates a wormhole that will link two points For those of you that think this is starting to sound like a physics exercis, that is not my intent. This game, even without an appreciation for the physics ideas behind it, is a lot of fun. The puzzles are imaginative, and while some take only moments to figure out, the overall challenge of the game is balanced equisitly. Now, if you are an experienced gamer in anything more advanced than online sudoku it will probably take you less than three hours to beat. but so what? It has replayablity I haven't seen since the sonic series. it has a sequence of challenge maps to REALLY test your brain. None of this is the true brilliance of the game. No, that comes in the sense of humor the game has. I wish I could reveal all here but that would be unfair to all of you, so instead I will say "PLAY IT!", or at least watch someone playing it, the dialogue is wonderful. also, it may be full of subliminal messaging.... After completing the game I went out and bought cake.
