CCIS Researchers Win Best Paper Award at Distributed Systems Conference

The paper by J. Chen, M. Marathe, R. Rajaraman, and R. Sundaram titled " The Confluent Capacity of the Internet: Congestion vs. Dilation" received the Best Paper Award at the 2006 International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS'2006), held during July 4-7, 2006 in Lisbon, Portugal.

ICDCS is sponsored by IEEE and is a premier forum for exchanging research results and ideas on large scale distributed computing systems. Each year, ICDCS selects a single paper for the best paper award. For more information, visit the webpage of ICDCS'2006 is at icdcs2006.di.fc.ul.pt.

Chen is currently a postdoc with Professor Marathe at Virginia Tech, he received his PhD from Northeastern under the guidance of Professors Rajaraman and Sundaram.
