Freshman student will work for Google this summer...

First year CCIS student, Jeff Dlouhy, was chosen for a spot in the Google Summer of Code program. This is a highly selective program that offers student developers stipends to write code for various open source projects. Google works with several open source, free software and technology-related groups to identify and fund several projects. The program is now in its third year and has brought together over 100 students with over 100 open source projects, to create hundreds of thousands of lines of code. Jeff was one of 900 students accepted this summer from a pool of 6,200 applicants.

Jeff will be working on bringing new features in functionality to the Camino web browser. His project proposal was accepted for the Mozilla Foundation.
