Amy Sliva

Professor Sliva has a joint appointment in the College of Computer and Information Science and the Department of Political Science. Her primary research interests lie in artificial intelligence and reasoning under uncertainty, using logical and probabilistic models to analyze, forecast, and respond to agent behavior. With her interdisciplinary background, Professor Sliva focuses on applying behavioral models to address problems in security policy, international conflict, and cyber warfare.

Prior to joining Northeastern University, Professor Sliva held a research position at the University of Maryland Laboratory for Computational Cultural Dynamics, as well as the Institute for National Strategic Studies at the National Defense University. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Master of Public Policy in International Security from the University of Maryland.
