Apex 2009             Two Clarion University publications recently won national recognition in APEX 2009, the twenty-first annual awards program recognizing excellence in publications work by professional communicators.  National APEX awards are given by Writing that Works, The Business Communication Report

COBA Viewbook
In the Best Redesign category, APEX feted Dr. James Pesek, dean of Business Administration, and PAGES graphic artist Deborah Henry, in the Best Redesigns category for their work on the College of Business Administration Viewbook.

Scott Kane, a graphic artist and designer in PAGES, and December 2009 C&B Cover Ron Wilshire, assistant vice president for university relations, won an Award of Excellence in the Newsletters-Print category for the December 2008 issue of Clarion and Beyond magazine, a publication for friends and alumni of Clarion University.

University publications are produced through University Relations and its PAGES, Printing and Graphic Express Services, department.

APEX awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. There were more than 3,700 entries in 11 major and 122 subcategories.
