Mission Statement

The Early Childhood Education Program at Cleveland State Community College provides the academic preparation for the Child Development Associate Credential and the Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education serving and being responsive to the educational, cultural, and economic development needs of the early childhood communities in Bradley, McMinn, Monroe, Meigs, and Polk counties.
The Early Childhood Education Program is committed to providing a quality educational program based on the developmentally appropriate practices for children birth to age eight as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
The Early Childhood Education Programs is one of 13 TBR Early Childhood Education Programs that articulates fully within all two-year colleges and actively promotes articulation with all other four-year colleges that offer Early Childhood Education degrees.
