Performance Funding

Cleveland State Community College participates in the statewide Performance Funding program, coordinated through the Tennessee Board of Regents and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, and applicable to all public institutions of higher education in Tennessee. Performance Funding operates in a five-year cycle coinciding with the Strategic Planning Cycle, providing annual financial incentives for institutions to demonstrate effectiveness through a variety of indicators. The amount of funding may vary annually as part of the total funding formula. The current maximum incentive is 5.45% of state appropriations for each institution. The percentage of this amount actually received is derived from annual scores in the various standards comprising the Performance Funding program.

Cleveland State Community College has participated continuously in Performance Funding since the program's inception in 1978. Through the program, the College has been awarded in excess of $7 million in supplemental funding.

Performance Funding scores are provided in the college Fact Book
