The Florida Atlantic University - Communication Disorders Clinic provides diagnostic and treatment services for a wide variety of communication disorders, including:

The FAU-CDC is the primary training facility for graduate students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Clinical services are provided by graduate student clinicians under the supervision of Masters and Doctoral level speech-language pathologists and audiologists, holding Florida State licensure and the Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

The Clinic's Philosophy

Services at the FAU-CDC are available to everyone on a space available basis, without regard to age, sex, race, ethnicity, religion, and/or sexual orientation. The purposes of the FAU-CDC are:

  • To provide rich, varied, and quality clinical training experiences for graduate student clinicians in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • To provide quality speech, language, and hearing diagnostic and treatment services, and community education, to all interested individuals in the University's service area
  • To serve as a resource for diagnostic and treatment information and continuing education for practicing professionals in the communication disorders, medical, and educational fields.
