Transportation Engineering ITE Chapter
The
Northeastern University Institute of Transportation Engineers Chapter (ITE Chapter) primary mission is to enrich the depth and breadth of knowledge of the Transportation Engineering students' at Northeastern University in the areas of Transportation Systems Engineering and Research through interaction with the larger engineering Community.
This includes organizing
seminars, conferences, field trips, and other events that incorporate the different aspects of the Transportation Engineering field.
Interaction with
researchers and practitioners with-in and outside the NU community is one of the goals of the
NUITES.
NUITES also encourages
graduate students & faculty to be part of the local ITE Chapter in Massachusetts and New England. All students interested in the Transportation field are eligible for a free one year membership with the National ITE Organization and get the award winning ITE monthly magazine to keep abreast of research and practice in the field of transportation. The magazine also has other special features such as company advertisements and job postings for those of you interested in internships and future employment.
Membership is open to all students who have an interest in Transportation Engineering. Since
Transportation is an inter-disciplinary program, our members come with varying backgrounds.
