How to Apply
Applying is easy with our online application.
Transcripts: In the process of completing the online application, you will have the option of uploading PDF copies of transcripts for all colleges and universities that you have attended. Such PDF or electronic copies of your transcripts can be used initially in the admissions process, but are considered unofficial. If you are admitted, you will be required to arrange to have official transcripts of all previous undergraduate and graduate course work mailed directly to the Graduate School of Engineering. If you are in the process of completing a graduate or undergraduate degree, if you are admitted, you will be required to arrange to have any final official transcripts showing the degree and date of conferral mailed to us. If you do not have unofficial electronic copies of your transcripts to upload along with your application, please mail the official copies directly to the following mailing address: Graduate School of Engineering, 130 Snell Engineering Center, Northeastern University, 360 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115
Letters of Recommendation should be completed by someone acquainted with your academic and personal qualifications and must be completed electronically via the online application. Two are required. During the process of completing the online application, you will be prompted to register your recommenders. Recommenders will then receive an email to complete their recommendations and submit them electronically.
Application deadlines for Professional Master of Science Programs
Applications received after the stated deadline but before the start of the semester will be processed, however it may not be possible to have a decision rendered in time for you to begin taking classes. Therefore, please do your best to complete your application on or before the applicable deadline.

A complete application consists of the following:
- Completed online application
- Application fee of USD $50 (to be paid electronically)
- Two confidential letters of recommendation (to be coordinated electronically)
- Official or unofficial transcripts of each college or university attended
- Resume (to be uploaded with the application)
- Official GRE scores (Institution code is 3665, no department code is needed) are required of:
A) all M.S. in Information Systems applicants.
B) applicants who do not hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university within the United States. - Official TOEFL scores (Institution code is 3665, no department code is needed) are required of applicants whose native language is not English.
