Dr. Stuart S. Peterfreund
Interim Department Chair
On behalf of the faculty and staff, welcome to the Department of Communication Studies at Northeastern University. We are located in the “Hub of the Universe” (Boston), a city that offers a thriving and exciting environment to live, work, and study.
Our department offers BA and MA degrees. Our undergraduate degree offers three concentrations: media studies, organizational communication, and public advocacy & rhetoric. We also offer a number of minors, including communication studies, media production, & rhetoric. By working with the many forms of experiential education offered at Northeastern, our students can infuse their education with the kinds of knowledge that can only be achieved outside the classroom.
