"I take great pleasure in the fact that I'm helping students acquire a trade that can provide for themselves and their loved ones for a lifetime.

Welding isn't a skill that's easily conquered.  You can't simply read a book or follow directions to become an expert.  It's a skill that a student must work hard at, receive guidance, and work hard at it again to acquire." 

Shawn White has been at the Mulvane Technology Center since 2009 as a welding instructor. He also teaches most of the applied courses that go along with our program including: Applied Economics, Blueprint Reading, and Industrial Math.

He received his Associate of Applied Science degree in Welding Technology from Cowley College.

White teaches students the common welding and cutting processes used in the industry.  The program consists of three days of hands-on instruction in the shop and one day of classroom instruction.
