Instructions on Setting up your C-Mail account

Logging In to Your Student Email Account

Your student email account is called C-Mail. Click the C-Mail logo to sign in to your C-Mail account.

You will be forwarded to the a start page. Click on "Sign in".

You will be forwarded to a login page.

Use your Cowley College username, which consists of your last name (capitalize the first letter), the first letter of your first name (capitalize this letter), and the last six digits of your student ID number. For John Smith, student ID number 999-123-456, the user name would be as follows:  SmithJ123456. Your initial password will be Password1. For example:

Username:  SmithJ123456
Password:  Password1

Using the John Smith example above, your student email address will be as follows:

SmithJ123456@mail.cowley.edu

How to Change Your Student Email Password
Once you’ve successfully logged in to your student email account, the College recommends that you immediately change your password to insure the security of your account. Follow the steps below to successfully change your password:

1. Sign in to C-Mail.
2. Click Settings at the top of a C-Mail page.

3. Click on the Accounts tab.

4. At the bottom of the Accounts window, click the Change password link.

5. Enter your current password and your new password and click Change Password.

If you forget your password or are unable to access your account, please contact the College’s Help Desk, via the web at http://www.cowley.edu/helpdesk.

Forwarding ANGEL Course Mail to Your Student Email Account
You can forward your ANGEL course mail directly to your student email account by following the steps outlined below:

1. Log in to your ANGEL account and navigate to your in box.
2. Click the Preferences link in the upper right hand corner.
3. At the User Course Mail Preferences page, locate the Forward to Internet E-Mail drop down box and select your forwarding preference from the options available.
4. Enter your student email address in the Email Address box and click the Save button at the bottom left.

Forwarding C-Mail to a Different Email Account
You can forward your C-Mail directly to a different email  account by following the steps outlined below:

  1. Log in to your C-Mail account and click on Settings in the upper right hand corner.
  2. In the Settings window, click on Fowarding and POP/IMAP link in the Settings menu header.
  3. In the Forwarding section, select the Forward a copy of incoming mail to option and enter the email address that you want your C-Mail forwarded to. In the box below, you can select to keep a copy of the forwarded mail in your C-Mail mailbox or have it deleted after it is forwarded.
  4. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the Settings window to save your new settings.
