Accounting Program
Accounting is known as the “language of business” because the terms and concepts are generally used in all fields of business. The accountant is the key figure in the reporting, analysis, and evaluation of relevant financial information to various users. The impact and importance of accounting information has to other business and related fields provides for many career opportunities for accountants. Accountants help to ensure that the nation's firms are run more efficiently and its public records kept more accurately.
The accounting program at Cowley County Community College provides the student with two options.
Associate of Arts (AA)
The Accounting AA degree is a transfer program concentrating on meeting basics that are transferable to four-year institutions.
