Cowley students qualify to attend NATIONAL PBL Leadership Conference

Participating in the Kansas Phi Beta Lambda 60th annual State Leadership Conference held Friday and Saturday at Cowley College’s main campus in Arkansas City, five of Cowley College’s PBL students qualified to attend the National PBL Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL, June 22 -27.
Sarah Mathews, Cowley College PBL advisor, was proud of the PBL member’s accomplishments. “I truly enjoyed hosting the 60th annual State Leadership Conference,” Mathews said. “It was a lot of work, however it paid off. I am extremely proud of our students and their accomplishments, and we are all very excited to attend the National conference in Florida. I am proud to have each of the members represent our Local chapter.”
During the State Leadership Conference, Mathews was named the Phi Beta Lambda Advisor of the Year.
Other colleges participating in the conference were, Butler Community College, Central Christian College of McPherson, Colby Community College, Emporia State University, Labette Community College and Southwestern College.
