Creative Writing Prodigy Guidelines and Timeline

Guidelines
How to enter:

1. Student artists who will graduate in May 2012 are eligible to compete for scholarships. All High School students -- senior, junior, sophomore, & freshmen -- are invited to enter the Creative Writing Prodigy Awards competition.
   
2. Student should enter their portfolio that includes five creative writing pieces that show a range of writing talents, including short stories, poetry and/or song lyrics.
   
3. Pieces in the portfolio must have been completed from September 2010 to February 2012.
   
4. The portfolio must have a Title Page that includes the following information.

5. By March 2, 2012, the portfolio must be hand-delivered, mailed or emailed to:

Disqualifications:
Portfolio will be disqualified if the creative writing pieces are:

1. Not legible.
   
2. Plagiarized.
   The judges’ decisions will be final.

Timeline
Delivery of Entries:
February 22, from 9am-5pm through March 2, from 9am-4:30pm
(This deadline is non-negotiable for both hand-delivered and mailed Portfolios.)
Mailed Portfolio: Portfolios to be mailed back to the student/school must include a label and return postage.
Portfolios not picked up:
Portfolios not picked up by April 20, 2012 will become the property of Cowley College.
