Variety of entertainment in store at Creative Claws’ Talent Show

As a way to showcase the diverse talent at Cowley College, the Creative Claws’ Talent Show will be held Thursday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Robert Brown Theatre.

Entry forms are available in the college’s Humanities Office and in director of student life, Kristi Shaw’s office. Forms must be turned into Creative Claws’ sponsor Marlys Cervantes as soon as possible to be on the line up for the evening.

The show offers a variety of entertainment, including instrumental and vocal music, solo and band performances, as well as comedy routines. The event serves as a charitable function, as attendees can choose to pay a full admission price of $3 or provide a non-perishable food item along with $2. The collected food items are donated to a local food bank for the holidays.

“We do very few activities to raise money, but we want our writers to be able to enter writing competitions,” said Cervantes.

The event, which is in its seventh year of existence, is sure to entertain.

“I know the audience will have a great time at the talent show,” Cervantes said. “There are always a variety of acts, and the talent always makes me love our students even more. Cowley students are the best!”
