**Choir concert postponed** 05/17/2012 8:00 am
Due to a family emergency, the choir concert scheduled for tonight has been postponed and will be combined with our band concert on Thursday, May 31 at 7:00 PM. The Orchestra concert tonight will proceed as planned at 7:00 pm.
**Registration Photo Update** 05/03/2012 2:30 pm
The 2012-2013 O'Neill registration packet incorrectly indicated that information regarding student photos was included with the registration materials. Student picture information will be mailed directly to students' homes in July by our photography company, Lifetouch. We apologize for this mistake.
**Report Cards** 04/11/2012 3:00 pm
3rd quarter grades have been officially entered and are now available for viewing and printing. Please access our online parent portal to view and print your child’s 3rd quarter report card. If you need assistance with accessing the parent portal please contact our main office a 630-719-5815 between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM.
O'Neill Middle School mails report cards to parents only after the first and fourth quarter. You can, however, access your child’s grades through our parent portal at any time. The parent portal can be accessed by clicking on the link on the left side of the O’Neill homepage at www.dg58.org/on. If you have trouble accessing your child’s grades, please contact our main office at 630-719-5815.

Thank you for visiting the O’Neill Middle School webpage. I am proud to share information about the Home of the Senators with you.
O’Neill is one of two District #58 middle schools that focuses on academic education as well as social and emotional development for students. O’Neill serves grades seven and eight and has an enrollment of approximately 550 students. Downers Grove Grade School District #58 embraces the neighborhood school concept and students at O’Neill come from five feeder elementary schools: El Sierra, Fairmount, Hillcrest, Indian Trail, and Kingsley. Students from O’Neill attend Downers Grove South High School in High School District #99.
The teachers at O’Neill are highly qualified, dedicated professionals. They work hard to ensure a very positive and supportive educational environment for our children. We have an excellent curriculum for reading, math, writing, science, and social studies. In addition to our core classes we offer physical education, music, an exploratory program with eleven different offerings, English as a Second Language, social work and special education services. We also offer intramural and interscholastic sports and a number of enrichment opportunities are available to round out the overall experience available to our students.
Another incredibly important part of our school is the O’Neill PTA. These adult volunteers spend countless hours working on behalf of and along with our students. From activities like Grandparents’ Day to lobbying legislators on behalf of children, our PTA has been an integral part of developing our youth. Please consider joining our PTA and getting involved with this very special group.
