Undergraduate Certificate

The Undergraduate Certificate in Women’s Studies is comparable to achieving a minor in a subject. However, the  Undergraduate Certificate in Women’s Studies  is an interdisciplinary program. Students receive credit for specific courses in anthropology, criminal justice, communication, history, literature, nursing, political science, sociology, and of course, women’s studies.

The underlying goal of the  Undergraduate Certificate in Women’s Studies is to understand the broad range of women’s experiences that reflect class, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, age, and the interconnections that shape these experiences in specific ways.

The Undergraduate Certificate in Women’s Studies curriculum prepares students to think critically about the political, social, economic, and historical forces that shape women’s lives, along with women’s responses through activism and advocacy.
