Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a cost to attend Campus Day?

There is not a cost to attend Campus Day.

What is the difference between Campus Day and Orientation?

We understand that choosing a university is an important decision. Through Campus Day we want to give you the opportunity to take an in-depth look at all of our offerings from academics to student life. You will be able to visit with academic departments, gather information, and have your questions answered by students, faculty and staff before you make your final college choice. Campus and housing tours will also be available.

If you confirm your attendance at Florida Atlantic University by paying the tuition deposit, you will be invited to Orientation.  Only those students who have made a tuition deposit will receive an invitation to attend orientation. For more information, visit www.fau.edu/orientation/.

Do my parents have to attend Campus Day with me?

We encourage parents to visit with their students; however, it is not mandatory and some students choose to participate on their own.

Can I stay overnight in a residence hall as part of my Campus Day visit?

We do not have an overnight program. Students will be able to visit a residence hall during the program.

Is Campus Day still scheduled if there is inclement weather?

Campus Day is offered, regardless of weather, as long as the University is open. Please feel free to call Admissions Office at 561-297-3040.
