What is the FAU Link Program?

The LINK program is a wonderful opportunity for students, after completing their AA or articulated AS degree, to continue their college education and receive their bachelor’s degree from FAU.  Students of Broward College, Indian River State College, and Palm Beach State College will have exclusive access to FAU.  This initiative was developed to provide you with guaranteed access to FAU*.

As an AA degree seeking student of one of FAU’s partner colleges we want you to have the easiest transition to FAU to earn your bachelor’s degree.

How Do I Join?

State College Students – You can indicate your desire to join the Link Program by contacting the Admissions Office at Broward CollegeIndian River State College or Palm Beach State College.

High School Students – If you are a high school student and wish to earn your associate’s degree from Broward College , Indian River State College, or Palm Beach State College, submit the required application and supporting documents. Then complete the required steps for Link to FAU.

What are the benefits of Link to FAU?

  • Guaranteed entry to FAU – Students graduating with A.A. are guaranteed admission to FAU.*
  • Priority admissions to FAU – Provides a smooth transition through the FAU admissions process that guarantees a quick admission decision.
  • FAU will have designated 'admit days' on your campus. 
  • Convenient classroom locations – FAU Regional Campuses located across south Florida: Boca Raton, Treasure Coast, Jupiter, and Broward County.
  • Enriched academic advising – Students receive comprehensive on-site advising from both Broward College, Indian River State College, or Palm Beach State College and FAU Advisors.

How is the Link to FAU different from the 2+2?

  • The 2+2 guarantees admission to one of the 11 state universities and not necessarily to one of your choice.
  • Once you have indicated your participation in the program, your college and FAU work together to prepare you for completion of your bachelor’s degree.
How do I sign up to participate in the Link to FAU?
  • At 15 hours, meet with your college advisor.
  • At 30 hours, meet with your college advisor and FAU advisors.
  • At 45 hours, meet with your college advisor and FAU advisors and confirm status with FAU.
  • Maintain continuous enrollment towards your AA degree. Continuous enrollment is defined as being enrolled in classes without a break of two or more consecutive regular semesters/terms.
  • Complete your AA degree (or articulated as AS degree) in six major semesters or less including prerequisite courses required for your intended major at FAU.
  • Apply for graduation from your College by the published deadline in the term you will complete your requirements. Be sure to send to FAU an official transcript verifying completion of your degree, either an Associate in Arts or an Associate of Science in a program which specifically articulates to FAU.
  • Verify your acceptance to FAU.

    *Consistent with university policy. Limited access and restricted access programs may require an additional admission process.
