Freshman Scholarships

General Information:

All Office of Undergraduate Admissions scholarships are limited, competitive, and are awarded annually on a rolling basis early in the scholarship cycle. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee a scholarship.

Many of our awards require continuous enrollment (excluding summers), full-time status (12 credits or more at FAU), and are paid out for fall and spring terms only.

Several of our merit scholarships listed below do not require a supplemental scholarship application as eligibility is determined at the time of admission. Many of our merit awards are competitive and although minimum eligibility requirements are listed, baseline GPA and test scores are ultimately determined by the competitiveness of our entering freshman class. Scholarships offered through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions are not stackable. Scholarship recipients must maintain an FAU GPA of 3.0 for award renewal (SECME, Inc. award renewal criteria is 2.5).

Students who are admitted to FAU are eligible to apply for Office of Undergraduate Admissions scholarships.
