FAU and Broward College "Share the Blue"
On Saturday, November 14, FAU united with Broward College to "Share the Blue" for a joint tailgate party at Lockhart Stadium before FAU's annual Broward Game. In addition to a successful educational partnership based on the 2+2 educational approach for Broward students, the two schools also share the same spirit color, blue. Many groups participated, including Broward staff, alumni and students; Broward College staff, alumni and students and the Executive's Association of Fort Lauderdale. The "Exec's" held their annual employee appreciation tailgate party as part of the day's festivities. Enthusiastic Owl fans said hello to FAU mascot, Owsley, cheerleaders and Coach Schnellenberger while enjoying delicious tailgate treats and FAU spirit items.FAU Student's Bus Shelter Design Chosen
Broward Transit selected a design created by architecture student Laura Daniels as the prototype of the county's future bus shelters. Features of the sleek design include handicapped accessibility, bike racks, recycling bins, voice alerts and solar panels to power the shelter's information system and provide light.
