WHAT ARE INTERNSHIPS?

Internships are defined as career related experiences that enhance a students' marketability upon graduation. They may be full-time or part-time. Programs can be structured or unstructured, as long as there is training involved in the experience, and they may or may not be for credit and may or may not be paid. Internships are found in every type of organization.

Students interested in internships should take advantage of the many opportunities for identifying available positions:
  • Visit the CDC library
  • Attend Career Day events
  • Check with your academic department and College regarding assistance they may provide
  • Check campus bulletin boards for postings
  • Learn the art of networking
