FROM: Frank T. Brogan, President
Once again, nominations are being sought for the President's Leadership Award program, which recognizes extraordinary achievement on the part of FAU EMPLOYEES, including faculty and staff. This program is of particular importance to me because it provides well-deserved university-wide recognition for faculty and staff members who are going above and beyond the call of duty to support FAU's public service mission.
You can access a full description of the awards program and a nomination form online (address given below) or from the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs by calling (561) 297-3004, or stopping by the office in Room 291 of the Administration Building on the Boca Raton campus. I hope you will take time to read about the program and to nominate someone you consider a worthy candidate for a President's Leadership Award. A total of four awards will be given: to a USPS employee, an A&P employee, a Faculty member or Librarian, and an Academic Administrator. OPS employees are not eligible.
The deadline for submitting a nomination is March 17. Please send completed nomination forms and attachments to Ed Rowe, Office of Equal Opportunity Programs, AD 291. Employees nominated in previous years may be re-nominated this year. However, you must fill out a new nomination form and re-submit all accompanying information.
A full description of the program and a nomination form are available on the Equal Opportunity Programs home page at http://www.fau.edu/divdept/equalop/homepage.htm
President's Leadership Award recipients will be honored at the Employee Service Awards Ceremony on April 11.The News Archives
