FAU Presents "Take Back the Night"

BOCA RATON, FL (April 12, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University's Feminists Involved in Radical Empowerment/National Women's Organization (FIRE/NOW) Association presents "Take Back the Night" to raise awareness on the topic of violence against women.

The event will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Boca Raton campus, Free Speech Area, 777 Glades Rd. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will include speakers, a self-defense demonstration, information tables, a candlelight vigil and a safe place to share your experiences and listen to others. The FAU FIRE/NOW chapter is inviting student, community members and local organizations to attend.
