Amy joined the FAU Controller’s Office staff in June, 2005.  She is primarily responsible for the creation and maintenance of financial reporting for the Controller’s office staff.  This includes both detail and high level reporting requirements to assist in account reconciliation efforts, problem research and resolution, financial statement presentation and review, as well as other key financial reports for analysis and review.  In addition, she assists members of the Controller’s staff to improve efficiencies and processes by making use of technical and system resources, including testing the impact of Banner and Webfocus updates, and review and implementation of enhancements as appropriate.

Amy served in a similar capacity at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as the Financial Systems Coordinator from 2001 through 2005.  Her responsibilities there were also concentrated in the areas of report creation and maintenance, as well as the automation of critical accounting processes, management of the accounting system from an operational perspective, and integration of external vendor data into the Institution’s enterprise reporting system.  Prior to working in a more technical supporting role, Amy was more focused in the areas of Accounting and Management.  She was the General Accounting Administrator for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution from 1996 until 1998 responsible for the administration of the affairs of the General Accounting Office, including supervising the accounting staff and the processing and recording of accounting data.  She then relocated to Florida and became the Manager of Customer Financial Services at Equifax Payment Services (now Fidelity National Information Services)  from 1998 until 2001, where she managed accounting staff responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and accounting-related customer service on behalf of the organization’s largest customers.  Amy also worked as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers) from 1994 until 1996 after graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from the Fischer School of Accounting.
